I MESSED UP!
This is my J.D. Salinger redo. I think his book would maybe negatively looked upon. It mentioned in the article that his last story for the New Yorker wasn't his best. He was kind of a kook, so I think maybe his story would be kooky too, which is never very enjoyable. At least in my opinion.

i agree with you but also just because his last book wasnt the best, doesnt mean his new book wouldn't be good. you cant really judge it until you read it. but i see where you're coming from:)
ReplyDeleteGood points, however, consider this... no one knows when exactly he wrote the other stories/novels, so they might have been from a more sane period in his life or maybe just the overall material and content is better. I say we give it a chance. It would be like saying I got a C on my last quiz, but I got an A on my test before that, so now you think I can only do C work, think about that. :)
ReplyDeleteI say: it will be at least interesting to see what he had written, and compare to how his mind was working. His work might not be as good as his first books were, but I’m sure people would still buy his books, trying to understand the mystery that he has been.
